After weeks or even months of planning, the Surface Design Show 2020 has finally arrived. I have created new wallpapers and furnishing fabrics specially for this event.
The designs created are inspired by my local countryside, the start of 3 collections which I will be developing further after the event.
Collection #1 Climbing Roses: a lino cut and hand printed design in 2 contemporary colourways. Digitally printed onto wallpaper using HP Latex365 printing.
Collection #2 Woodland Walk: a lino cut monotone hand printed design also in 2 contemporary colourways. Digitally printed onto wallpaper using HP Latex365 printing.
Collection #3 Suburban Garden: inspired by my own garden, a display of hand painted flora and fauna digitally printed onto furninsh fabric.
Arriving at the venue and seeing my empty space felt a little daunting. We had the odd teething problem but after a little pondering, creativity and a little bit of editing, we set to workand have created and exciting eclectic exhibit.
